Happy Anniversary, Speed II

Twenty five yars ago, in the summer of 1982, NASA unveiled a new space shuttle called Challenger, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In the opposite corner of the USA, a technological leap of another kind was introduced. It was called “Speed II”, and it was proudly released by TOM Software in Seattle, Washington.

... and Happy Retirement, too!

It is almost unheard of in the technology industry for a software product to survive for a quarter of a century. So the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the release of Speed II, originally authored by TOM Software in Seattle, is indeed a rare event. Today, though, the number of active Speed II users has dwindled to a handful, and therefore, APPX Software, Inc. has announced the retirement of the Speed II product line, effective July 15, 2007.

Announcing an Autumn APPX Affair in Amsterdam

Cansys West International has announced that they will be sponsoring their first European APPX Conference this fall. CWI, the largest international APPX distributor, has scheduled this event for November 15-16, 2007, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
